Testo della canzone
In the heart of the jungle, where the wind sings,
There lives the Curupira, who enchants the forest.
With his feet the wrong way, he runs through the trees,
And in each of his steps time is lost.
His eyes blaze with fire and mystery,
He guides the hunters with an entire destiny.
Never forget, wanderer and traveler,
That the Curupira is the guardian of your heart.
Above the water, where the Boto whispers,
Sirens dance in a walling embrace.
He, with his song, attracts the girls,
Transforming them into sirens with clean voices.
In the flowing river, the secret waters,
Reveal loves with incomplete stories.
But beware, oh people, of the magie of the Boto,
Which steals the heart, without making a vow.
In the dark night, the lara shines,
And the song of its river gently spreads.
With golden hair and eyes of light,
She seduces, while time is silent and induces.
Her hands, agile like sea waves,
Crop the night in a sweet love.
The fishermen hated her and loved her,
Because in her embrace, everyone was lost.
Among the dancing shadows, Anhanga appears,
The white deer that with the echo makes itself heard. Echoes of war, of death and of war,
That the Brazilian land guards in the land.
Anhanga is the guardian of our soul,
He whispers in the wind, the restless call.
No one sees him, but everyone hears him,
And whoever challenges him, in the darkness is lost, eternai. And so in the sky, where the Saci flies,
A single foot, but a strength that consoles.
In her hair, the wind is confused,
And in an infinite circle, the universe responds.
With his red hat and mocking smile,
He is the master of all the roads, on the most arduous path. But do not fear, oh wandering traveler,
The Saci will guide you, but not without vibrant deception. From the top of the mountains, Tupa observes,
With his lightning that dissolves every darkness.
God of thunder, of the burning sky,
Each lightning is a sign that life is not lost.
And in every beat of his sonorous heart,
The earth trembled, and the man made a chorus.
The creation of the world in his strong sound,
Tupa’s breath is life, is death.
Finally Pajé, the wise seer,
Tracks the destiny with his powerful mind.
Among the clouds and the leaves, he sings in silence,
A melody that crosses thought and time.
Looks at the future with eyes of knowledge,
And with every word, the world has a meaning.
The stories of the ancestors live in his gaze,
And the soul of Brazil is in his love, without a look.
And so, among the myths and legends, dreams are revealed, Every step in the forest, in secrets they intertwine.
Where the sacred and the profane are like the wave and the sand, There the Brazilian mythology never fades, never slips.
